I suggest the following if you haven’t already done any of them.
1.Call dealer’s Service Manager and request a loaner vehicle.
2.Call the dealer’s General Manager and request a loaner vehicle.
3.Call Chevrolet direct 800-222-1020.
4.Post negative feedback on dealer’s FB.
5.Post negative feedback on Chevrolet’s FB.

I can't help you with your issue. Just replying to point out that everything nowadays is a piece of shite. Nothing lasts.

Exact opposite when it comes to cars. Average car lasts 150,000 to 200,000 miles these days. Used to be 75,000 to 100,000 a few decades ago. Hey, but let's not let facts get in the way of nostalgia right?

Let me guess… Toyota?

If you want people to know that you're stupid, you say stupid shite like this.

I bought a '22 Tundra that was under the engine recall.

Never had a single issue with it. Dealer called me a week ago and told me a new motor was on the way and asked if I could bring it in this past Monday the 12th.

Friday they called and asked if I could bring it Friday. Went and picked it up with a new engine yesterday. Had just over 55k miles and got a new engine.

Meanwhile, GM is having major issues with 6.2l where they issued a stop sell. If you take it in they will change your oil even though the pistons are disintegrating. Then look at their transmissions. You're lucky to get to 50k miles without it cratering. If it does, you're shite out of luck because they can't get parts.

But, yeah, Toyota....

Dumbass....

Duck Law Firm in Lafayette. They got me a great settlement on a POS Ford product a few years ago. All I had to do was provide the details and they handled the rest.

Not sure why you're being a condescending dick about this. Modern vehicles are too complex.

I had a 94 Blazer that was close to 200k miles. Before that, I bought a used 88 Chevy Beretta that was a fleet vehicle in high school. It had over 100k miles when I bought it.

My friends 85 Silverado was also almost 200k miles.

But all those vehicles were easy to work on. No complicated electronics under the hood. If a sensor went bad, you changed the sensor, and voila! the truck still ran.

Now, if a tail light goes out the truck goes into limp mode. And because the tail light is LED, the whole system has to be replaced to the tune of $1,500.

It also doesn't help that the government has forced these pie in the sky fuel saving measures upon carmakers. Carmakers have rushed out engines that fail; often spectacularly..

Just about everyone I know who has a car/truck that is a 2020 model or later is constantly having issues with it.

Toyota Replacing 102K Tundra and Lexus LX Engines after Recall

Stellantis recalling more than 300,000 Ram trucks for braking system defect

Ford recalls nearly 100K SUVs & trucks over 'catastrophic' problem- F-150, Broncos, and Explorers included

But its not just vehicles. Modern appliances are also overly complicated and shitty. Which is why when the wife wants a brand new stainless steel fridge, the smart husbands keep the old fridge in the garage because they know that shiny new fridge is on borrowed time.

It's 90 days out of service in Louisiana. So you still have more waiting.

I can't read French so sometimes LA code baffles me but I think 90 days is for motor homes and 45 days for passenger vehicles. Corrigez-moi si je me trompe.

The dealership has told me since day 1 that "parts are on nation wide backorder" and no expected date on arrival.
The backorder is a real thing and likely a strong defense if you took action legally.

I know two different people with issues under the Toyota engine recall.

Super happy to hear your anecdotal story.

I simply asked a question in my first post, and you seem so triggered that you’ve decided to lash out.

Peace be with you.

Probably gonna have to have a lawyer push it.

I’m sure you can do it by yourself but that’s usually quite a bit of hoops that you have to jump

The statute is weird to read. So here it is from a couple of different attorneys’ websites
quote:

The Louisiana lemon law provides for a presumption that a reasonable number of attempts has been undertaken to repair the nonconformity. After the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative total of 90 days for reason of repair, the manufacturer loses the right to rebut the presumption and must replace or repurchase the vehicle.

quote:

Under the Louisiana lemon law statutes, you have legal rights if:

The vehicle was out of service for 90 or more days
Repairs have been attempted on the same defect four or more times
Repairs were performed within the warranty period or within one year of purchase
LINK
quote:

The Law Office of Christian D. Chesson practices Lemon Law throughout the state of Louisiana. In Louisiana, Lemon Law applies to new vehicles less than 10,000 pounds and not for commercial use that have been repaired four or more times for the same problem. A new vehicle serviced for a total of 90 days in the shop may qualify as a lemon under Louisiana law.

Call attorney Richard Dalton in Carencro. He does a lot of these cases. He will know if you have a good case or not.

This, exactly. Rick is a good guy, LSU Law class of 1994, and he probably files more Louisiana lemon law suits than anyone else.
