Hey new guy, shut the frick up. Porn and exercise are also addictive. We should ban those activities, too.

you are aware that in Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, and several other states soon there are fancy stores where you walk right in and buy your weed just like you would a cigar or bottle of scotch right?

why would consuming cannabis not be socially acceptable?

I am 100% for legalizing weed and have been that way since before CO and WA legalized it on the state level. But those two parents shouldn’t both get high at the same time. One shouldn’t smoke if the other one is when there’s a toddler in the house.

its legal in some states.

i have yet to be offered or see anyone doing it while they bar b que but i have smelled it coming from across the street now and then. same house. born again neighbor makes critical comments when we can smell it.

so my anectdotal evidence is its not socially acceptable quite yet.
but its legal.

Well no shite. I wouldn't stand by my gril smoking a glass pipe or joint. I do smoke inside my garage as the grill or smoker preheats. Then I'm high for my cook.

Since we have a thread of smokers, I was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience...

I was a daily smoker from high school till my early thirties. Kids & other duties made me quit. Now, in my late thirties, I smoke rarely(usually when someone offers at a party or on the golf course).

Reason being I become too "self aware". My mind races thinking about how my utility bill is late or I havent talked to my parents in a while or just anything negative.

Even though the weed is 1000x better than what I smoked 15 years ago, I get far less enjoyment out of it.

Yes,it is a different high from when I was younger and had fewer responsibilities. My brain won’t relax like it used to.

Autopay brah

I get what you're saying though. I'm on a detox right now, and work is picking up massive steam, and I just don't have the urge to smoke because shite is flying left and right. I'm sure I will in the next few months though

If I've been drinking, it's usually ok. If I smoke without doing anything else, I instantly regret it.

What's the difference if they had a couple martini's after the kid went to sleep? You can still be a responsible parent and get a buzz when the kid is in bed. You don't have to get so high/drunk you're drooling and stumbling down the street naked, that's the difference between smoking/drinking responsibly or not if you can't handle yourself while doing it.

The high THC weed we have today has much less CBD and other cannabinoids that helped to mellow out the high. This is a common complaint/observation from people who smoked decades ago compared to what we have now. CBD bud is legal and can be bought online. Try mixing that with your regular weed for a more mellow experience.

Weed made me a much better parent when my kids were toddlers, but my wife hates weed so we were never high together.

I haven't smoked in like 5 years, but I got high like 3 weeks ago and it was the most fun I've had in a very long time. I would smoke every day if I could, but job and other responsibilities make that impossible for me. My wife is pretty cool and smokes on occasion after our little girl is asleep. I'm always jealous.

There is a current incident right here in acadiana

Whats your point? How many domestic violence incidents and killings are a result of alcohol consumption in Acadiana Parish compared to ones that are a result from marijuana?

My entire extended family and social web rocks the ganga. No one I know at any point has ever viewed the ban as legit.

As long as you are a functioning member of society and aren't hurting anyone or yourself, I honestly could not care less what your vices are.

Most dispensaries have weed with a decent CBD profile if you ask for it.
