I don’t even add people’s wives as friends, and there are two? Women I will text directly, otherwise it’s always the husband that gets the message, unless it’s actually a woman I’m working with, like a real estate agent. There is 100% risk, and no upside, especially considering how wrapped up in social media and spreading gossip women are.

I’m sure I’m in the minority. My wife (no pics) is hot.
I have a female friend (no pics) who is pretty cute. We run together often. Sometimes others are around, sometimes it’s just the two of us. We had conversations about a wide variety of topics.
She is married (happily). I am married (happily). She and I text at least every other day, if not every day. Although she is cute, there has never been nor will there ever be anything between us of a romantic nature. Neither of us desire that.
So yes - although it’s rare, it is possible.

I have learned over the years that adding more females to the mix does not simplify things. Instead, it adds drama and complicates things.
I prefer simplicity. One is quite enough.

I'm with you in that minority.
Except my friend has been in a relationship for 9 years, not married, but engaged and I've been happily married for 20 years.
She's like a big sister

Women are crazy and there’s no reason for a man to put up with that unless they’re trying to frick them

Exactly, why would I want to add drama and BS that involves having a female friend

I have quite a few female friends. No issues. Just know the boundaries. It’s not that hard.

This makes sense.
The number of guys on here claiming their wife is hot enough to not be worried about a cute girl is the concerning part haha.

That's because the opportunity hasn't presented itself. If you're running one day and she says, "do me behind this tree", your dick is gonna take over. And if you're texting this woman every day, you're already in an emotional relationship with her, physical will eventually follow one day.

PJ…you been trying to frick everyone in the trailer park for 2 decades now…you didn’t have female friends, just ones in the park that wouldn’t frick you. Quit with that shite

Yea ole boy is full of shite and if he is texting everyday he is already cheating in a way with confiding in her emotionally. His wife and her husband might not say anything but they are uncomfortable with the situation, I don’t care what he says or what they say
And wtf you texting about everyday? Really curious on this?

He succumbed to his dick when he screwed his sister in law. He's posted about it multiple times. This dude is delusional.

You know this is how you spent 7 hours of your day today? Angrily ranting on the internet about random strangers friendship proclivities and whether or not they’re allowed to have them?
Objectively I think you can agree that at least indicates some form of mental illness you should address, right?

I have a close female friend. She’s about 10 years older than me, single, and attractive. She is a former co-worker who became a mentor/friend when I was young and new to my profession. She was the only female in our office, but very smart, tough, and confident. We shared a lot of the same opinions about work and other things.
After she left our office she and I stayed in touch. We’d probably grab lunch/happy hour about once every few months just to catch up (though that frequency has dropped off a lot in the last few years.) If I need a sounding board for work issues she is often my first call. She calls me for work discussions too. We also share a lot of the same political opinions and will often text about those issues, as well as non-work issues.
My wife knows her and knows the benefit she’s had on my career. There is no jealousy or distrust because I’m honest with my wife. There’s never been any sort of “more than friend” vibes because we respect other as peers/professionals as well as friends. And this is coming from someone who was HUGELY misogynistic as a younger man and adamantly believed platonic relationships weren’t possible
