David Vitter lost my vote because he is a hypocrite. I registered as a Republican to vote Against him. Against him. In the last closed primary Louisiana had.

Don't have to go much farther than our own newspaper editorial contributor Will Sutton.Approximately 95% of his columns center on race i.e. how the criminal minorities are simply misunderstood/without resources/education...and all of this is societies problem. His piece in the Morning Advocate 1/18/2023 centers on the crime problem in N.O. and goes on to tell us that it will "take a village" to attack the crime problem by forming task forces,light up public parking places,more cameras,finding crime related trends { I can tell you something about the "trends" i.e. feral-like young career criminals are causing havoc, the D.A. is more interested in fulfilling his campaign promises to go light on crime...especially juvenile crime and the judiciary plays along ! At any rate, this crime wave is the fault of ANYBODY but the criminals preying on society OR the elected "leadership"....the last paragraph dramatically shows where his head is at: "As I've said before, I think Cantrell is the right person to lead this effort." I simply can't comprehend how this educated journalist can arrive at this conclusion...is it possible that "race' has once again clouded this mans senses as it has for the vast majority of N.O. voters for DECADES now ?
