PTSD is an externally induced issue, so why can't they treatment be externally induced?

MDMA is probably the best drug on earth. Pure bliss and everybody you see you want to talk to and be friends with and make sure they are doing ok. It is a very strange feeling.
Last time I took it was at a rave and I ended up hugging a tree when we got to the after party.

100% this.
I remember vividly experiencing mdma for the first time (back in 2000). It was by far the greatest thing I've ever felt, nothing comes close. It's undescribable but something everyone should experience once.

This isn't some pill you go get at Walgreens. You're dosed a specific amount in the presence of a professional who then walks you through the process. So yes, it is a treatment.

Let's load everybody that has a mental illness up on psychedelics. What could go wrong?
Micro dosing. Read a book one day.

I'm so out of touch with the drug world, I had never heard of something labeled "MDMA".
Guess I've heard some of the street names, though.

Why are you posting this now? T
Because I was taking the author of this tweet in the OP at face value. I believed the tweet that it was news.

Huberman is big on this. He’s had many guests on at the top of their field that think psychedelics will replace anti-depressants by 2030.

The first time I took xtc was in 1985.
That was the time you could buy it at your local record store and also the time where the feds subsequently scheduled it and made it an illegal drug due to growing popularity.

Ecstasy, roll pills, disco biscuits, Molly, Vitamin E to name a few.

Psychedelics in general could be a massive gamechanger for PTSD and other psychiatric conditions.
Also for the treatment and rehab of opioid and other addictions

It's an acronym for 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, aka ecstasy.

If you can’t have fun on X then you just can’t have fun.

Ptsd? Why do millenials keep coming up with these “diseases” so they can take drugs?

disco biscuits
Never heard that one before

I think disco biscuits was an old, British name.
Ecstasy or X was the most common name for a long time until Molly became popular in the last 10 years or so.

John Hopkins proved beyond a shadow of a doubt magic mushrooms effectively cured PTSD in a well known 7-year study. It was commonly used to treat “shell shock” after WW2.
