They do bring outside experience, that's often valuable, to say they do the same job equally well though is absolutely absurd.
deployed with a National Guard Engineer BN, the active duty BN we replaced completed 54 missions the year they were there.
My BN completed 106 missions, including building multiple fobs from the ground up and the Built the Wall on RT gold in Sadr City (08).
love my active duty brothers, couldn't have completed the job with out, but to say about the NG " to say they do the same job equally well though is absolutely absurd." well sir that's absurd

This guys a joke. What a POS!
I served 12 years active duty in the Army and seeing people like this makes me irate.

Not to betray a family secret, but I'm a plankholder of that unit, and served the better part of 16 years assigned to it (2 stints). We've had that little joke running around since the late 1980s.

Again, I respect military people, but there are limits of my "f*cks to give".
It is important to identify and try to correct the fakers. No need to make a scene, that's true, but, the agencies that work to foil the fakers are necessary.
Your opinion on that matter is wrong. It's not important that you understand why.

How many of the folks in this thread talking about their military days have any good experiences to share with regard to some participation in a veterans' organization?

I played American Legion baseball when I was a kid. It was great

I joined our American Legion post exactly a year ago. They haven't done shite in a year. I'm not sending money again.

Is Legion ball still a thing? I'd volunteer my time to coach if so

How about the VFW or DAV? Or maybe your local AL is just waiting for a new person take charge, show leadership, and make some good things happen?

There is a kid on YouTube named Ronnie who had a wallet with a marine corps emblem, was wearing a regular us army hat, Air Force top with no name and no rank and tennis shoes. When the man asked him what his rank was, he said sniper.
I'm pretty sure he may be mentally retarded. Guys like that don't aggravate me so much.
The guys like miles schoumake piss me off though (he got busted three times in two weeks, he was also a registered sex offender).
