Minnesotans look forward to winter.
I can say that's not true. I HATE frikking winter with a passion. My friends all say the same thing. There are a few people who are die hard skiers or snowmobilers who say they like winter, but they are in the vast minority.

4 degrees currently in NW Ark. Doesn't feel all that bad but I only stepped out for a bit. Roads are iced over and Highway dept has their thumbs up their asses like usual.

I'm in Ohio visiting my dad and this shite is ridiculous. I have no idea why people voluntarily live in this shite
Cause you can buy clothes and gear to keep you warm in their winters, but you'll sweat your arse off in a Louisiana summer even if your butt nekkid.

It just dipped below 70 here tonight and my wife has a blanket on
But as far as living conditions, I'd take LA heat over 6 months of cold all day. I just used AC all the time when I grew up in NOLA and you can still go do things and have fun.

My body is made for cold weather since I for some reason got the hairball gene of the family. I'd rather put on a jacket to stay warm in the winter than sweat my arse off in shorts and tshirt.

Have lived in Ohio for about 26 years and these temps coming today (supposed to be -10 with -20-25 wind chill) will be the coldest I've ever experienced. It's really only three relative cold months in Ohio, before temperatures average above 40 again. I've lived in South Georgia for two years, and I prefer cold to hot. The humidity is a beast.

You don't say. It is cold in south canada. Who would have figured that

I gotta head up to Rochester, MN next month. Not looking forward to that cold. I got rid of all my cold weather clothes bc I am about to move to the equator. Oops.

It is hilarious- it vaporizes instantly. I need to get my kids in the yard (they won't do it) wearing cheesy wizard costumes, and I'll throw the boiling water and they revel in the smoke and defeat me with cardboard swords.

there's only 2-3 arctic outbreaks a year. Nothing like 95-100 degrees every day.

if by 2-3 outbreaks you mean cold as frick for 6 months out the year.
You can't even describe today's weather.

Heat in hot climates can be dealt with and overcome much easier than brutal cold/snow/ice in colder climes. I couldn't imagine having to get up in the freezing cold, dig my way out to my car, dig it out, scrape ice, all the while in painful cold just to get to work on a regular basis.
I can still drive normally to places when it's hot. I

Y'all are absolutely insane.
You can't put on enough clothes at -10 to stay comfortable.
I could stay outside from sunrise to sunset in 100 degrees. I would last 15 minutes in -10.

Skiing is one of my favorite things so I could definitely live in the cold weather as long as there were mountains
