It needs to be at least 3 feet higher, it won't make it through the night

Holy shite! There's a little store/cafe next to it that I went to years ago nicknamed "The Dam Store".
This must be a requirement for pretty much every dam. We have so many dam stores in this area around our dams. A few went out of business though.

Fun fact:
This river flows north. So, the video stream in the OP is looking to the West

Man, switchyard is just gone and the water coming out of the roof of the powerhouse is insane. The power of water is scary stuff.
That house is going to be in it before long.

Interesting that the river's record crest (in 2020) was five feet above the current water level.

those puffs of water/steam are what are interesting to me. that's where the water is trying to 'cut into shite' and the force comes out as white water.
interesting to see where that goes.

y'all catch that MF running along the road behind the house just now?
what is that footer under the house? not cinderblocks right? how much further down does the water have to cut to get underneath the foundation there?

The chyron below the former live feed said "imminent dam failure" which is kind of misleading. It should have said "dam bypassed". The dam didn't fail the water just went around it.

Are you watching the a live feed? Because the link in the OP is no longer live.

i wouldn't take any bets on the rest of the dam making it out alive right now.
