Yes, and if California is so bad for business why do so many big companies that went from nothing to something recently come out of California? Nothing makes sense.
Probably because most of those business sprouted up in California in the 90s and 00s when things weren’t quite so crazy. California has great weather and two top schools a with Berkeley and Stanford to recruit from.
It’s very easy to see why companies would start there, but leave.

Mississippi is kind of a head scratcher.
What’s head scratching. Their politicians are ahead of ours. Even in a conservative state they consider things like sports betting and medical marijuana. Good outdoors. Less traffic. Their taxes are low and getting lower (they are phasing out income tax). Their governors are not puppets to the DNC.
Our politicians are ruining the state. While places like Alabama and MS seem to be improving we are going backwards.

California has way more than just Stanford and Berkeley. Their university system is widely considered the best in the nation. If even just 50% of those graduates stay in state, that’s better than most every other state in the nation for young educated talent. There’s also a ton of venture capital money in California.

Nothing you listed makes Mississippi way better than LA. Their capital city is even more fricked up than BR and comparing outdoors is a wash.
Y’all continue the circlejerk though.

Meh. I'd much rather live in LA (50) than WA (1). If you have a little cash then living in LA is just fine.

Briggs World has always had it in for Louisiana. This is the same guy who lives in Washington state that said ANTIFA was just a bunch of rowdy kids.
Yep sounds like most online writer trash, throw metrics against the wall and see which ones stick out for the places that you have a bias towards and throw out the negatives.
I remember someone had did a survey or list of the happiest cities in America and in the top ten was a bunch of Louisiana towns.

If Alabama is always near the bottom why are so many fricking people coming to this state?

Their public schools are some of the worst. Literacy rate is abysmal. California is a demo time bomb.
I'll bet California was incredible in the 50's - 70's. Its racing to the bottom today.

I've said it before and I will say it again, in the past decade or so Mississippi and Alabama have surpassed Louisiana
The good thing about Mississippi is that so much of it is rural. You can be by yourself away from everything. I love Mississippi. Cheap land. The people are very nice. Sure, Jackson is a shite hole, but so are most urban areas these days.

As far as beauty is concerned I like Vicksburg. The rolling hills are nice.

Higher insurance rates, worse Traffic and higher taxes are your thing? The capital cities are a wash. Everything else about MS has become better. Everything else about LA is the same or worse. Alabama has pretty much let us to fight it out with MS and WV. We at least used to have NOLA, but that is a disturbingly bad downward trend.
It all goes back to politicians. Ours are horrible. MS and AL have been electing better politicians for the last 20 years and it’s starting to show.

48->47->48->12->9
At least for the states that I've lived in, that list seems pretty accurate to me.
