The real kicker of all of this nonsense is this this wouldn't be an issue if people followed the rules and obeyed the laws. Damn how hard is it to be a civilized productive law abiding citizen? I promise , if you walk the straight and narrow , your chances of any police interaction will be decreased dramatically . If for some reason you do get stopped by police just be polite and respectful! Have respect for yourselves as well as others. Treat people and property as you would want others to treat yours. You break the law and suffer consequences! People bitch about how quick the police are to shoot but look at the kinds of shite they're dealing with. Never in my life would Ive thougjt a human would be in a leadership position and encourage violence towards police officers . That's wrong on so many different levels !

Years ago some hood rat fired a gun in the air in Madison.
They gave him a million dollar bond. Madison don't play. That dindu that randomly shot two women a couple months ago made a big mistake when he was on the north side of County Line road.

Yep, Madison don't give slaps on the wrist.

Of course it's wrong. Even worse is Cliven Bundy and his thugs. Yet many conservative folk are a-okay w/ him and his band of criminals.
Eh, the more things change .....

From CL reporter Therese Apel...
I just received a call from former Hinds County Sheriff Tyrone Lewis on Kenneth Stokes' statements in the press conference today that Lewis's uncle was killed in a situation similar to the one Stokes was describing. Here are Sheriff Lewis' words:
"His statement on me and my family is totally incorrect. He said that I had an uncle that was killed in regards to one of those chases that he’s referring to, that was totally incorrect. I can’t let you all air something or print something related to my family when it’s incorrect. I have nothing to do with this, I don’t appreciate being brought into it, nor my family. We’ve moved on into the private sector and to be brought into the shenanigans brings up old wounds that we're trying to get past.
His statement in regards to us has nothing to do with an outside chase and nothing to do with race
My mother was involved in an accident in 1997 where there was a police chase inside the city limits of Jackson. She had picked up a cousin from Dallas at the bus station downtown. On the way back home, there were three people in the car: my mother, her best friend, and the female cousin from Texas. They were on Bailey Avenue, approaching the intersection with Maple Street. As they entered the intersection of Bailey and Maple, there was a police chase on Maple headed toward Bailey. That vehicle was being chased by JPD, not an outside agency.
That vehicle was chased by the Jackson Police Department and because of that chase, that vehicle collided with my mother at the corner of Bailey Avenue and Maple Street, and as a result of that chase, which was inside Jackson, it ended my cousin’s life.
As it relates to race, the officer that was chasing the vehicle was not a white officer, he was a black officer.
All those things were misleading that Councilman Stokes said.
It was not an uncle, it was a female cousin.
I don’t appreciate being pulled into this situation. As a law enforcement officer, I denounce his statement, I think it’s a slap in the face to law enforcement everywhere, and I think it puts law enforcement officers in danger everywhere. I hope that we have citizens in communities that continue to respect law enforcement everywhere.
I’m appalled that he would bring up something fictitiously to try to clear his statements up and to try to bring up old wounds that my family has been trying to move on from. We denounce his statements and we’re very disturbed that he would make false statements and utilize us in his press conference."

ou don't have to have a full speed chase through the metropolis of Jackson to apprehend a petty criminal. That's what this is all about.
Chances are if they are fleeing from police over "shoplifting" they are not just a petty criminal.
You sir are an idiot, basically you would like Jackson to just become complete anarchy, where anyone could commit a crime short of murder and just drive into Jackson and nothing happen.
