What type of Anesthesia were you doing? General or MAC? Or just conscious sedation?

Would you say someone like Lebron James is overpaid?

Incredibly.

Well, you're wrong. He's actually very underpaid based on generated revenue and the percentage of that he see's

LSU runs off a few losing season or 7-6 years, this will not be true.

If your team has shitty players and put a shitty product on the field or court, a part of your fan base will stop going to games.

It isn't about someone else getting That money, it is about the value placed on their skill. The fact that some of these assholes in the NBA can make five million never playing, while some good family practice docs who bust arse make a hundred grand, is kind of strange.

You dont think those players in the NBA dont bust their arse to be there? Again, those players are the best in the WORLD at basketball. That's why they get paid what they do

I'll bet it was a sellout though. I sat through those times, don't want to go back.

Big market teams i agree with you.

You think OKC would be bringing in the same amount of money without KD and Westbrook?

The Rams say hi. Pelicans/Hornets say hi. Most teams say hi. Winning brings in more money. Stars bring in more money.

Let's just ignore all the other sources of revenue that comes from the players outside of just game attendance (which is also impacted by performance).

You don't think guys like Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, etc. make a lot of money for their teams? Jersey sales?

not ignoring it, just saying that the athletes are temps, fans will continue to buy merchandise, come to games, watch on TV -which is still generating revenue for the franchise, regardless of who is on the field, when a John Elway, Michael Jordan, or Derek Jeter retires the revenue doesn't stop, or even hiccup, the wheels keep turning and the $ keeps flowing, always has, always will

This is true

And the people that are selected are done so because of who they were born to. I could go to maritime school, graduate top of my class, do all the training and I would never be picked as a pilot. That is my whole beef with the profession. Like I said my good friend is one and he is very deserving. However, there are many out there that are not.

They are also paid considerably more than their peers in Houston, the Northwest, the Eastcoast, Mobile...etc. LA pilot salaries would be a good bit lower if the PSC would judge the "fairness" of pilot's rates/salaries on annual salary of other port pilots as opposed to comparing them on an hourly basis. But the PSC is on their side, so they are the highest paid pilots in the nation and seek 10% raises every 3 years or so.

A lot of pilots are great guys and good at what they do, but most of them will admit it is a racket and has always been. This is why they lobby so much and keep such a tight knit group.

Absolutely, without family connections you would have to be a federal pilot. And I do know a one or two pilots that I wouldn't even trust to drive me around in a car,
