Wouldn't mind being closer to my friends and family. Baton Rouge isn't too bad. You can certainly do worse than south Louisiana as far as food entertainment.

Been gone for ten years and moving back to Louisiana soon. Realized where I was at is nothing special. I would rather spend spare time with family than with co-workers.

They used to put up billboards where I live, post Katrina, asking people to go back to La.

HS kids in Nola still hang out at The Boot I'm sure. I am from BR and in HS would drive down there to go there when we weren't at Reggie's or Mellow Mushroom.

The above paragraph is also why I wanted to leave BR for college . I did all the shite they did in college, when I was in HS.

Grand Ole Opry is at Opry Mills now which is a shopping mall out in the middle of no where. Go to Broadway and visit The Ryman. That's the Mother Church and original Opry. Also the best acoustics ever for an indoor venue.

Other than, if you like country music, there's a couple cool country museums (George Jones, etc.) and the country music hall of fame.

And eat. The Southern or Merchants are both great downtown and somewhat affordable depending on the order.

Idk, lots of shite to do. Do you guys like drinking? Go to Tootsies, Roberts, and Legends...the 3 real honky tonks. And know that the downstairs parts are the original parts, so take in the decor, its pretty awesome.

If you want to drive for breakfast, The Loveless Cafe is great, but get there early. DO NOT go to Pancake Pantry, its an average tourist trap.
