I remember him from my childhood, and I had a Mr. Wonderful wrestler figure thing. Seems like he should be a lot older than 71 though. Strange.
This was the toy I had:
Had the ring too. I played with that shite constantly.

I'm also afraid Terry Funk is next. Isn't he in hospice care?
What I have read just says "residential care" which could mean anything from Hospice to Home Health. They've also said that he has been diagnosed with dementia and is suffering from other health issues, so Hospice seems more likely. It isn't looking good for the Funkster, and that's a tough one to hear. I knew when he asked people to stop sending him stuff to sign that he couldn't be in good shape. He's one of the best guys in the business, and literally his entire life has been given to wrestling.

Considering all the hardcore and death match shite Terry did in the 90s, I’m surprised it isn’t far worse than dementia.

That power driver was brutal from Mr.Wonderful. He was one of the wrestler's I remember back in the day of Mid South Wrastling. JYS, Freebirds, Ted Deboise, Orndorff, etc. Good ole days. RIP

With all due respect, Ernie Ladd > Paul Orndorff.

He always seemed like a good guy.

Some of the videos his son put on IG and Youtube should NOT have been posted.

Another one who gave the business everything and had it beat the shite out of him. When guys like he ran and worked with said that it physically hurt them just to watch him try to walk, you know it was bad. Then, think about his knees were already shite from football before he ever started wrestling.
