Good lord! Tuesday night 25 cent draft FTW. Had some crazy fricking times at that place. Ben died in fall of 97 and that was a wrap. Met him a few times. Think he was from Mandeville.

It’s in the old Chimes Textbook Exchange building. New ownership. They have a plan for parking mitigation. It should be a good place. Just a throwback college bar. Not sure the opening date, but I think they are shooting for this fall. Or so I dreamed last night.

One option is to have a means of getting customers to the bar which doesn’t utilize their own transportation. Also helps cut down on DWI risk.

Who remembers Bar Mats? For $1.00 they would pick up the bar mat and pour the assorted liquor renderings into as many shot glasses as it would fill and hand them over. Can't believe I used to drink that.

Can honestly say some of the most fun nights of college were in that silly place. Fred's and Bogies were fun, but nothing really compares. Hard to explain.

We also loved Docs for Nickel draft night. $5 for Pancho’s buffet, couple bucks for cover, and then nickel draft. I have no idea how my stomach survived those years. But man, the next mornings were brutal.
