disagree with schools reopening at this time.
I’m a teacher, and I’ve noticed the mental health issues associated with kids being confined at home for almost 5 months with no social interaction. I would also never allow my child to get a rushed vaccine without knowing the long term side effects.

I had no idea nurses and teachers are the only people who've been working.
I guess manufacturing workers, grocery, transport, retail, tradespeople, food service, etc etc haven't been working.
These people and their grandstanding disgust me.

Your meme should say
"Crazy bitches to whiney bitches"
The Covid thing has been milked to death and jumped the shark a couple months ago

My poor sis is an anxious wreck to begin with and COVID has her in extra melt mode before the school year starts. I want to remind her that all we cared about was flatten the curve a few months back and we can't prevent every single person from contracting it. But, that won't go over well.

There is no vaccine, no clear treatments and data surrounding kids contracting and transmitting the virus is minimal at best. Teachers and students are not guinea pigs,

Solution: do virtual learning from a place where kids can go and be watched. Maybe something like a school since they should be vacant. You'll stimulate the economy by having the state pay both teachers and the childcare providers. It's simple.

If politicians and media told the truth and didn’t pretend as if we’re all going to be vaccinated by December, I think a lot of the restriction/shutdown nonsense would be viewed differently. This virus may be around for years.

This is enough for me to disregard all of this advice.

You seem to have a rational opinion as to this situation.
Thanks.
Do these idiots(I'm sure minority of teachers) piss off the rest of you and colleagues?

So, exactly like public schools?

It’s truly the of the worst trends in the world .... it’s like a “Poor Me” Olympics. Who can milk more sympathy during a pandemic. Get. Over. Yourselves!!

No, this is completely different. Teachers have to stay at home in order to stay safe. These would be daycare/childcare services, where children could interact with their teachers over the computer. Of course, an adult would still have to be on the premises.

Teachers should make their own choice. If they are concerned resign or take a leave of absence. But don’t expect to get paid.

You people really don't get it, do you? We have to think of the teachers!

So, we would be still be paying teachers to teach but we would also now be paying these childcare sitters. Instead of just the teachers?

Ask your nervous sis how she felt in 2018 during the flu epidemic that saw multiple states with emergency declarations, hospitals being overwhelmed, and ~650 children die nationwide.
