Here is a concession I a willing to make. Get all of our money back from The Ukraine. Instead of giving it back to taxpayers, use it to build nasty prisons that are uncomfortable, so there will be no people that don't mind going back to prison. Kill the bad guys with the high recidivism rates. Take those that threaten to commit mass shootings and put the fear of God into them, eliminating them if not fixable..

This can all be accomplished without stepping on the toes of good citizens.

Strange. In the history of mankind, 18 year olds have never been able to buy semi auto rifles I guess.

This is new, eh?

Yes. Should’ve been buying.

I’ve been buying and holding for years. You have every opportunity until then.

This is no bullshite. When I worked for local government when I was in college, it was me, a part time worker, the building inspector and we had a student worker at the time.

Student worker was a black dude. Good kid, his dad was a Deacon, he went to Catholic school and was in college, etc. His cousin had "beef" with a group of people and they were never able to catch him so they jumped the kid that worked with us. He came to work a few times scratched up and told us he wiped out on his dirt bike.

One Monday I go into work. Me and the inspector were the first ones there along with a higher up and he tells me they guy shot and killed someone that Sunday night.

We found an application for a gun in his desk. He wanted to do it legally, but he also felt like he needed to protect himself. He got one on the street. But when they jumped him the last time, he didn't have it on him. He went inside, got the gun and went out and shot one of the dudes and killed them. Pre meditated murder. His is in Angola for the rest of his life, but my point is. You can get a gun easier illegally than you can legally (it was his first time buying so they had to do a background check, etc, etc)

As long as you have a black market, it makes no sense to make any type of laws. If you make it harder to get, people will get one an easier way. What needs to happen is some type of crack down on the illegal gun trade.

Yes, there are shooting that take place with guns bought legally, but the problem is in the streets. Instead of doing inspection sticker checks, they should start doing illegal gun checks.

The writing is on the wall. Bad actors are trying to destroy the image of gun owners while trying to pin damages on manufacturers. If you like buying guns…

It will happen

We have more guns than people in the US and we don't even know who owns what because private sales can occur without any paperwork.

AR15s are the most common rifle in the country. You can outlaw them tomorrow and there would still be a ton of them in circulation. All you'd do is create a black market for them. Gun confiscation won't happen is this country in our lifetime.

There are concessions made regarding silencers why can’t we offer concessions on anything over 10 round mags? I have plenty of 30s so the Good Lord knows I am willing to compromise.
So you can have them, but nobody else can? Got it.

Background checks on ammo? I’d be fine with that.
So every time you need to grab a few boxes of shells for a duck hunt, you have to wait at least 30-45 minutes to do all the background check stuff, assuming the store staff isn’t busy and no NICS delays. Not to mention the burden it puts on the retailers who would probably start requiring minimum purchases and/or charge a fee since it wouldn’t be worth their time to deal with all the background check stuff for a customer that just wants to buy 1 or 2 boxes of ammo

This may be true. However the sins of Chicago will be passed onto those on Possom trot Rd in BFE
