yes...watching local news now and they're saying the female also appears to be a "teenager"

Back in the day no politicians were pushing gun control

Similar to the models the alphabet agencies use?

You asked why it was unheard of 30 years ago, and there are 14 times the amount of guns being bought now vs then.
We by far have more guns per citizen than any other nation by almost a 2:1 ratio with 2nd place.
Correlation does not equal causation.
School shootings were an unheard of phenomenon until the 90s, even with much easier access to firearms.

No country has a greater mental health problem than Japan. They also play lots of violent video games and watch lots of violent movies.
They don't have shootings like this.

How did they know her gender? Did they ask before shooting her?

3 students (hearing 2 8 yo, 1 5 yo)

Prayers for everyone but the shooter.
I initially thought the same thing. It’s horrible that someone could do this to anyone, especially to young children. And that makes me angry and sad.
Then it got me thinking how much pain and hurt someone has to have in their heart to go through with such a horrendous act. Nothing justifies what this person did, it’s just sad this persons life got to this point is all.

Sounds very bizarre….possibly targeted
Only the 3 children and 3 adults that were killed, were shot
Shooting was not in a classroom, but in open area on 2nd floor

FEMALE shooter. There’s a twist.
Any word if she was a previously a student there? Wonder if there's a motive in that..

During his term, President Clinton also used the power of executive orders to implement gun control policies. On April 6, 1998, Clinton signed an order that permanently banned the importation of more than 50 types of semiautomatic "assault weapons".

Doesn't sound like they expect more, which is good (relatively).

I’m guessing you’re too young to remember the 70s & 80s. Guns were everywhere. It was common for most of the pickup trucks in the student parking lot to have rifles and/or shotguns hanging on rear window racks. Guns were in homes, and oftentimes they were not locked up. If guns were the issue, the schools of the 70s and 80s would have been killing fields.
But they weren’t.
Again, guns have not suddenly changed in the last 30 years. People have changed. Do you want to solve the school shooting problem or do you want to push gun control? I ask because doing the later will not help the former in the least.

It’s a shame the shooter was killed so quickly. It would have been preferable that it took hours for them to die in agonizing pain.

Correlation can increase probability.

Can find much worse stuff on youtube and twitter these days.
You can literally watch people getting murdered/killed online now. I remember when liveleak was taken down for posting these types of videos... now you can just watch them on youtube.
