I'm not dropping $300 for Beats headphones.

People hate on Beats but I listen to mine for at least 3 hours a day, and have for over 2 years including the last 5 hours tonight, and I love them! Worth every single penny!

The 15 dollar set that I use for running, & replace every 6 months because the sweat ruins them.

I don't think it's so much that Beats are terrible or anything. Same thing with Bose. Depending on your preferences, Beats might be great for you (bass heavy stuff for instance).

But you can get similar/superior sound for much less money.

Good call. Probably the best headphones you can buy for the money. I've had mine for years. See the reviews on Amazon.

The Grado SR80e's are very nice as well.

All I will say is you NEED an amp for headphones, either internal or external. One reason I love the Beats is you can BUMP them by just plugging them into an iphone or macbook.

I just picked these up today @ Best Buy on a whim:

Plantronics BackBeat GO 2

They were 99.99 @ BestBuy, but matched Amazon @ 79.97 when I showed them the link.

Assuming you're looking for Bluetooth? It also comes with a case that holds a charge that you can put them inside of and get and extra hour of playtime from 20 minutes in the case.

Not the same quality you'll get from Bose/Seinhesser but plenty enough for me, and won't be seriously put out if they get lost or broken @ that price point.

4.5 hrs music playback
5 hours talk time
Don't tangle...which is huge for me

I was actually looking @ those first, I used to have a wired pair of jaybirds and loved them. The BackBeats were $10 cheaper so I just went with those since it came with the charging case.

I may pick up the Freedoms also so I have a pair to leave @ home and one for the car.

Very impressed with the noise isolation on these so far though, for it just being passive.

I have the bose earbuds, but I use them for running. I've tried a lot of different ones, but those a re the most comfortable set of earbuds I've ever owned. I'm on my second pair, first pair lasted me four and a half years. I figure I got my money's worth for $100.
