Fiancee should be home by now. Do probably not. I should set up a web cam and investigate

I think I remember reading that you have to rub their noses in it to get them to stop.

Bark collars. My damn dogs bark all the time. Hence, they are not allowed outside to bother my neighbors very much and never after 10 pm or before 7 am. My other neighbors dog used to go nuts at about 3 am for a month or so and work us up every damn night. (racoons)

Sounds like the OP needs to grow up.

And yes, every county/parish has noise/nuisance ordinances. All the neighbor has to do is call the police and they will knock on your door and issue you a citation. You will then have to appear in court and have a solution for the judge. If no solution is provided, you will be ordered to relinquish ownership of the animals.

That is how it works.

Wow. You are a douche. You are going to get your dogs killed or taken away because you are stupid and inconsiderate.

In this modern age of electronic bark collars, there's no reason for this to be an issue. They're pretty cheap and work extremely well.

This may have already been said, but you may need to kennel the dog(s) while you are gone.

About your neighbor, leaving this note instead of just talking to you about it is a real bitch move.

There's a doggie door. I don't intentionally leave them outside.

Sounds like they are little yapping dogs. Those aren't "real" dogs. They're at least half cat. Get rid of them.

Pick up a couple pair of ear plugs and tape them to her door. Problem solved.

I'm not sure why you want the neighbors to talk to you. Only a rude/insane person would leave their dogs outside barking all day. Why on Earth would your neighbor think they can talk things out rationally with someone like that?

As many others have said, you are in the wrong here.

Dogs should not be outside/barking between the hours of approximately 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. People with jobs and kids need to sleep and if your dogs are barking they are being a nuisance.

And this is coming from a dog owner.
