I would, but that's just me. Likewise, if I were OT I would go apologize face to face. It's the neighborly thing to do.

Note writing is so 1995.

Must be a lot of IT people here, they don't like confrontation either.

Has anybody mentioned that you and your dog are the problem here?

Since you are not willing to be a responsible adult your neighbors need to take action.

I would have thought the same thing until I bought my house this year. The dog going ape shite next door does it.

My parents were having this problem with the neighbor behind them. After talking with the neighbors to no avail, they bought one of the sound boxes that emits a tone when the dog barks. Problem solved.

I'm sure this has been discussed but I'm not reading 6 pages of this shite.

So I deduce that your neighbor is not an officer of the law...

They bought a $30 model. It is about 100 feet from where the dog stays and has worked well. They looked at an $80 model that has a bigger range but decided to try the cheaper alternative first and it worked. It is in a bush aimed right at the menacing beast. At $30 it might not last long in the elements, but after a week or two I would imagine that the dog is "trained."

I used to be you. My dog barks when she sees people/dogs and can't get to them.. So in a neighborhood, that can be pretty often. I was too patient with her in trying to train her out of this, and my neighbors paid the price for it. Neighbors spoke up, I bought a bark collar, and all our lives are so much better for it. Just pay attention to the complaint, man.

It took me 2 weeks to house train my dog. My dog stays inside all day while we are at work. It's easy. I think they did the right thing my politely writing you a note.

Where in Richmond do you live? That's where my parents live and their next door neighbors have annoying arse dogs that wake them up all the time, but unfortunately that doesn't look like my mom's handwriting.
