If Webster had a pic of mutt, your dog would win.

Carson, your poodles are beautiful. Sophie is such a lady!!!

we have a 9 month old female golden doodle. She is very sweet, but definitely goofy. Oh and yes, the chewing has been horrible. You have to pick up everything.

Better than a golden retriever? Get out.
Not knocking Goldens. They're awesome dogs. Adding poodle makes them even smarter and non shedding. So yes, even better than a golden retriever.
Adding poodle even makes labs tolerable and they're the worst.
ETA: I see it triggered a few people with worthless arse labs

Most puppies are going to chew things.

My goldendoodle at 4 months.......

I have a 2 y/o Labradoodle. The first 9 months were hell. He chewed and destroyed anything he could. Then we got his nuts clipped. He instantly changed and became the dog I was hoping for. Goldens are typically more calm and not as noisey (doesn't bark a lot) compared to Labra's.

I don't see the appeal. It looks like a shaggy mut, which it is.

Poodles and poodle mixes have got to be some of the ugliest dogs alive. Plus the constant grooming would drive me up a wall. They are super smart animals and ALL dogs chew to some degree.
I have a 1 year old Pyrenez/Lab mix and a 7 week Chocolate lab. I love the personality and look of a Lab.
Biggest thing with any new dog is love it, socialize it, and when it does something wrong immediately correct it.

Intelligence, awesome demeanor, great with kids, Hypo-allergenic and very little shedding. I don't agree with 'doodle "breeders" charging a lot of money for them. Got mine for $250 and it already was chipped, dewclaws removed and all shots.

The appeal was that my wife wanted him and I surprised her with him for Christmas.........he was literally delivered to our door. Wife is happy......so I'm happy.

Lab, Golden Retriever, poodles, German Shepherds, are all super smart dogs. Smarter than a lot of people.
No, a dog is not smarter than a person.

Dogs are perfect. Perfection on earth. Congrats on your pup, bro. Like a new best friend.

Mine hasn't really chewed much. Tore up a pair of old shoes I left in the yard one day, but that's about it. I make sure he has plenty of toys and he sticks with those.

As a general rule, I will take the dog over Floridians and people that shop at Walmart in a competition of who is smarter.

We got one in the late summer from Huntington Farms. He was very easy to train but definitely a rambunctious puppy that likes to eat door frames and play. He is very loyal and has the curly hair under the longer hair. He is 1/2 poodle and 1/2 golden. Enjoy, they are some fun and smart dogs.
