I'm a Service Director for two major manufacturers in a metro city, with a high population of sub prime customers. My stress level is at about 150, but it pays really well

I can’t imagine a dentist continuously having to meet unobtainable deadlines with threat of being terminated. That type of stress is mentally taxing, and I don’t think people quite understand that until they experience it.

Are you being serious? If so, thats laughable. How about being a critical care doctor or trauma surgeon or police officer or active duty military in Afghanistan or any of a thousand other jobs. I hope this is a troll because you sound like a huge puss.

Early in my career my stress level was an 80. I'd bring worries home. Then I changed facilites and perspective and now due to my actively taking measures to reduce stress, it averages a 40.

I mean, it’s extremely difficult to get fired at my job. My company is old school conservative and pretty hardline with the “if we hire you you’re family.”

With that being said, we are extremely extremely overworked and underpaid with no resources. Also, only a few are knowledgeable about the product.

Our clients rate us well despite being understaffed so they don’t see a need To fill us to capacity.

So I’d say pretty stressful

Can you die if you make a mistake doing your job?

Can you also kill 80 or more people if you make a mistake doing your job?

Mine is both. Wish I could deal with cavities.

I hope so too because a dentist has to be one of the easier jobs around, easier meaning stress free.

I cant think of a single medical doctor(MD) field that has less stress than dentistry (DDS).

have a small business with employees and have to service customers 24-7/365. That means weekends, vacations, or basically anywhere I go I have to have a laptop and internet service. its extremely stressful. I have been contemplating ways to transition to a business that is less stressful. a trailer park, parking garage, etc. we are extremely lucky to stay pretty busy but man is it tough at times.

60-70.

I have a small construction company. Constantly finding work, estimating the work, getting skilled guys to do work accurately, being in the field, running the office, dealing with keeping employees and customers happy. Weird balance and technically aren’t ever off of work because you got to constantly be bringing in new projects. We do roughly 125-200 jobs per month.

~90.

Imagine a job/career where the third party decides what they want to pay you and you can’t do shite about it without the involvement of an attorney which you can’t afford because the third party doesn’t pay what they owe you, even though they are bound by law to pay.

Must be stressful to spend 4 days a week devoting 20 seconds per patient to look in the mouth after your hygienists do all the work.

Mentally - 75
Emotionally - 100, but that's any job. Work sucks your soul right out of you.
Stressfully - 20. I can honestly say, my current job is the least stressful one I've had since graduating college, and I make considerably more than I did at any prior job.
