If done correctly voice text is superior and more efficient in every way.

My poor mom. Her voice to text is just a huge run-on sentence.

Let the boy get nudes from the chicks. Although tell him to never screen shot them. Could end up as child porn.

My youngest is 16 and he got his first smart phone at 13. Trust me, I fought my wife (no pics) on this for a couple years and finally gave in with him making straight As. It sucks but I took it away anytime he did wrong, weekends made him put it away or give to me, and kept tight restrictions on what he could look at. He seems normal, 19 year old was I think 14 or 15. Have a 24 year old also but times have changed since she (no pics) was that age.

All the 5th graders in my neighborhood have cell phones now. If you are 15 without a cell phone you are a pariah.

hate Snapchat but I’m on there to monitor my daughters activity.

I’m going to let the dads with daughters in on this. They send nudes on there. That’s literally the only reason I had it.

Because dudes will send you pictures of poop. But girls of their poop shoot. And porn stars use it.

Tell him if he wants to Snapchat, this is how much a phone plan costs monthly and get a job.

I told him I wasn’t paying for his phone so that he could have Snapchat. He’s just coming out of the private school bubble and is getting exposed to a lot of the real world. God only knows what he could be convinced to do because it’s Snapchat and it ‘just disappears’

My wife, the hard nosed social media dissenter, even started to reconsider when he said we were ‘basically forcing him to be anti social’

You probably are. I communicated with my parents face to face.

My kids tried to get into video games and cell phones. I turned them on to the OT Lounge and they grew up with good jobs making 350K working at da plant and both of them have the largest truck nuts in da parish

When "pagers" were new technology, in the late 70s, they actually were that... voice pagers. They blurted out a voice message over what we'd end up referring to more commonly as a "beeper."

My uncle was the one who introduced this cutting edge technology to us, and showed us how it worked. You could dial a number, and send a voice message that would be said aloud on the pager. He then left to go into some big shot meeting in Plaza Tower.

My grandmother decided to pick up the phone, and voice page him during his meeting. The message she said was, "Tony, please pick up some donuts on your way home." That would have been announced from his "beeper" wherever he was at the time.

Us grandkids fell out laughing at ole Grandma pulling a prank with the new technology.

Small Christian school or Homeschool is where a kid today needs to be educated.

The smartphone is the single worst thing to happen to kids. Ever. More harm than good comes from this device.

How do you know what apps are on your daughters phone?
