I certainly don't think he's "evil" either (just sort of a goofball), but if you read his statements, it seems that is sort of what he's accusing others of being. shite can rightfully get tiresome to folks.

I've had conversations with Scott at Courtyard just like other people and he has been friendly, cordial, etc. He has never come off as an a-hole and what he does on his personal time is whatever, it doesn't impact me.

Truth is, I’d bet vast majority of craft beer people who frequent his place and have met him have found him pleasant and beers enjoyable.

That tradition might have originated with Junkanoo in the Caribbean Islands where the native population of "indians" mixed with African slaves. I could be 100% wrong. It struck me as a match because they wear colorful feather adornment as well.
