but these elected officials in major metropolitans, 99% Democrat, sure as frick aren’t going to step up and work to tackle the issue are they?

I’d like to see the stats showing that 99% are democrats, but ok. I’ll play along with that premise.

I live in a major metropolitan city with a Democrat mayor, and he has been a major advocate for the police department while advocating for progressive change. The two are not exclusive.

And by the way, when you say “someone has to take control”, the founding fathers agreed. You know who they wanted to take control? You. By electing state leaders who would properly represent you. Stop looking to Trump to take care of the things you see wrong in your state. That’s not the ultimate role of the president. Or at least that’s how the Republican Party once saw it.

When was the last time NY, LA, Chicago, ATL, Detroit, or Houston had a Republican mayor? Or majority Republican city council? Point is - you would think these communities might try SOMETHING different for a change. Nope. Same shite. Blame guns, blame oppression, blame cops, blame COVID, etc

I voted for Trump in 2016 for economic reasons and because he wasn’t a Democrat. I’ll do so again in 2020. I’ll take care of me and my own through hard work, staying out of trouble, and being financially competent. Anything else GOAT POTUS can do to improve American life and slow the Left from shoving communism down our throats, is a cherry on top. Thanks for the advice tho?

When all of this rioting and shite started, I looked into the leadership of the cities that had reported significant violent protests and/or rioting and looting. The overwhelming majority were lead by Democrat Mayors and City Councils. Of the cities I looked into, it was about 26 or so to 2, Democrat to Republican.

I specifically looked at Mayors and City Councils because those are almost always the elected positions responsible for hiring a police chief and the management of the PD.

I did this in an effort to show that problems, real or perceived, are often created by those elected officials. The voting people in those cities are responsible for the very people they are protesting being in office. Yet, they seem to not realize it.

None that align with conservative principles. Not that Trump supporters care about conservative principles.

Problem with BLM is nobody has any solutions for anything. No ideas to curb police brutality, and no ideas to stop black people from killing each other in droves.

Here's the thing about that...they don't care about these shootings and will never acknowledge the scourge they are, and the fact that if a black person gets murdered 90% of the time it's going to be another black person pulling the trigger.

The reason why? Because that would require them to look at themselves and consider what they're doing...it would require them to shoulder blame for this epidemic of violence. They don't want to do that. BLM exists for one reason...to play the VICTIM and try and get shite for it, or to use it as a platform to push absurd agendas.
