"Fast drivers" are usually shitty drivers. No telling how many times I've seen a Camaro or Challenger miss a perfect opportunity to pass someone and move on down the road, but they are too busy playing with their phone and miss the opportunity.
Then they raise their head up when someone is going slower in front of them, and they get madder than hell and start driving (more so) like a total dick.
Edit: I had a black Ferrari behind me recently and he latched on for miles. Then he gunned it around me, only to pull over for gas, not much farther down the road. Idiot.

At least you admit that people who drive slower in the right-hand lane (legally) are often objects of punishment by shitty drivers paying intermittent attention.
Also, in some states (but dwindling), big trucks have to drive 10 mph slower than the rest of traffic to allow the smaller cars to get away from the big truck. There is a reason for that.

They to make a law that makes it mandatory for black people to use cruise control. Most drive about 90mph with intermittent periods of 47mph.

Don't worry, they do it here in SC too. At least when I'm back home in Bama visiting family the drivers are the same kind of stupid.
The funny thing is I never noticed how shitty americans drive until spending 3.5 years in Germany. Everything is just so damn smooth.
Then I came back to the US and lost my goddamn mind the first time I got on a highway.

Yep. I spent a short amount of time in Germany, but it was already enough to see that when done properly, driving and passing lanes work.

The worst drivers are those that go below the speed limit in the left (or even middle) lanes.
That is how it should be done but it only works in ideal conditions, when traffic is light and flowing smoothly.
But on a congested 2 lane interstate when you have idiots going too slow in the right and maniacs wanting to go too fast in the left; I'm staying left doing a few miles over the limit passing idiots the whole time and DGAF if the maniacs are pissed-off about it. Because the minute I get over, the maniacs are gonna trap me behind the idiots and I might get mistaken for one off them.
What we need is more lanes and people that know how to use them.

All true, all great points.
But these threads never really does enough to call out the guy who wants to go too fast and immediately will ride on your arse while you're actually passing a car or cars in the left lane.
Some people think they can just go as fast as they want in the left lane. If I'm passing in the left lane, I'm passing. I'll get back over after I'm done passing.

Nah man as long as you're actively passing cars on the right and get over when you get a chance, you're doing it right.
I fully admit I drive like a bat outta hell. But as long as the dude in front of me is actively passing cars, I'm perfectly fine slowing down.
And again, as long as when the dude is done passing he moves over and I can resume my preferred illegal speed.

About a month ago, I literally rode for about a 25 mile stretch between Denham Springs and Hammond behind some dumb bitch in the left lane who was staying even with but not passing the car in the right lane. A rolling roadblock. Absolutely refused to get over.
She eventually got tired of playing her little game and I got past her and blew her off the road. But I was fit to be tied.

Louisiana desperately needs to adopt this
First Offense = $250.00 fine

Third Offense = $1,000.00 fine & 30 day license suspension
