On Sunday, I made a huge pot of blackeye peas with ham hocks; a venison roast in the crock pot; and a pot of smothered cabbage with carrots, sausage, and salt pork.

I have so much food that I'll be eating it for dinner all week.

This is typically what I do. I cook the same foods for everyday of the week though to make it simple and easy on the wallet. Cheat meals when we go out for lunch at work or when the wife needs to go out break up the monotony.

I do all cooking on Sunday, lots of chicken and turkey, but i got a crock pot a month ago and i love it, you can make easy, healthy casseroles that really break up the monotony of chicken breast/green beans. And it frees up time on a day off.

Anyone who has experience with this have any ideas/recipes? My thinking is to make lunches/dinners on Sunday to last Monday-Saturday. Each meal will have 8 oz. of protein, side of veggies, and sweet potato or brown rice for carbs. I'm worried that it'll turn into chicken every meal and I'll get sick of it. What other proteins can you meal prep? I think fish or seafood wouldn't workout for prep purposes, and it would likely not be the best idea to eat red meat 6 times a week, right? (I've seen many conflicting thoughts on how many times you can eat red meat before it's too much)

Chicken, rice, red meat, potatoes, and veggies. Cook and pack. You're welcome. shite aint rocket science
