It's more about personality types than gender IMO. My daughter and I clash all the fricking time. It's because we have the same personality type. My son and I get along fine.

I was harder on my son in sports, I saw his potential but he just wanted to have fun. Kid had a real good arm and great control but rathered play soccer with his buddies. My daughter was totally different, she was driven and worked real hard in school and sports; never made anything less than an A and was always good in volleyball and soccer.

Neither one was much of a discipline problem so we weren't really hard on them as long as they stayed in line.

My boy only gets his arse whipped if he's pushing around on his baby sister. Besides that, they're really good kids imo. Theyre 1 and 3 so if I had to say if I'm going to be hard on one it'll be my boy. The wife I think will be tough on my little girl.
