I don't know much about Kentucky, but kinda surprising they are low. Guess they don't get high on their supply.

If you look at it a bit more closely, metro Louisville, Lexington, and northern Kentucky (metro Cincinnati) are all pretty deep blue. Without looking it up, I'd guess more than half the state's population is in those three metropolitan areas. Jefferson County (Louisville) is dark blue, and I can assure you that is a big drinking town.

I found the article for the map and they define it by more than 5 drinks per occasion of drinking, but it doesn’t define frequency, which kinda needs to be defined to give context.

Are you an excessive drinker if you drink 5 beers one day every year?

St Tammany outdrinks Orleans Parish? I need to check out the party scene on the North Shore.

I’m assuming it’s just residents. Black people don’t casually drink like white people do so it kind of makes sense
