Could be. Back then my grandfather had a grocery store in Beaumont so it may have been some kind of promotion or meet and greet. By the time I came around my grandfather was working for Southwestern Bell. I wish he was still around to ask.

By 1990 it was essentially out of business

Falstaff Brewery building, New Orleans (closed 1979)

It was the #1 beer in the Southeast region of the US...

It's a shame, the guy who bought out Falstaff, basically destroyed it as a business...

Side Note: did you know those letters on the Falstaff sign were 10 feet tall?

They also have a statue of King Gambrinus above the main entrance..
