My Mom had that exact model, probably used it for 20 years or more. She probably got it when first married, 1949.
Seems strange that a Swedish company would have such a strong showing in the American market for something like that. Just seems American manufacturing, especially post-war, would have that market.
Heck, even the Brits call vacuum cleaners "Hoovers", after the American Hoover Vacuum Company. Found online:
