I'm in the control room so it's awesome. Nobody in or out, only phone, radio or email communication. Supervision and maint. split shifts, contractors sent home. Plant running normal with reduced rates.

Administration are asked to stay at home and work. No vendors. All outside contractors are to not enter buildings. Everything else is smooth.

Man, I feel sorry for you. I was at that shithole nearly 14 years ago as an electrician. Instead of parish prison, Wiley needs to send inmates to the press floor for 6 months.
I finally got a job offer at the plant I work at now on a Thursday. I gave my two week notice on a Friday, they announced the closing of the Plant Monday. That’s when they shut down for three years or so

Were I used to work, they went 7,12 hours shifts. If anyone gets sick and goes in, the complete crew will be sent home. This is one of Louisiana's biggest power houses.

Not an operator, but we are about to lock some people in and pay 1.5x pay around the clock.

How do I sign up for that? If I have to sit in my house anyway, I'd much rather get paid time and a half to watch Netflix.
