I didn't comment on how the cops were playing it. The driver is still a threat to public safety if the cops were on him or not. The Karens of the world believe calling off a chase saves lives and property when in fact, the criminal still speeds and runs red lights. Just delaying the inevitable of the criminal resisting his eventual arrest. The police would love to catch the guy now instead of having him on the streets potentially doing more criminal shite over the next days, weeks, or months.

No idea but that would be badass if true. No doubt it would be used by bad dudes as well though.
