Is it Matt Bower dealership - he’s honest and needs money to keep Kiffin from getting OM kids.

Anytime I purchase a car. I negotiated over the phone or email. I would tell them to give me the bottom line price out the door and if they increase the price I am walking out.

Did this exact thing recently. Settled on price before I even walked in the door. BTW- 2 of the dealerships had the bullshite ceramic coat and protection plan ~2000 tacked on. They claimed it was now mandatory on all their new vehicles. Had no problem saying thanks but no thanks. I made it very clear too that I was buying that day if they just removed it. But nope.

"Protection Package Fee" on Used Vehicle Purchase

Never ever ever eeeeeeeever pay this. Especially for the rip-off price of 1900 bucks. Tell them to eliminate it or you walk.

There are fees in a sale that's fine to pay within reason. Document and title fee for example. But a "vehicle protection package" you didn't want is not one of them.

Negotiate a removal, in full, not a discount, or walk. Let them scam someone else for that. Remember, if that rolls into your financing, you will probably wind up paying 3 grand for it at the end of the note.

Even if you did want it, some detailer can do the same thing for nearly a quarter of that price.
