I buy online and have them mounted at Costco. 60 bucks for lifetime rotation and balance.

I deal with a local tire shop to get any type of work done on my tires. I metioned to him that I was about to need some new tires and asked him if I bought them online if he could install them for me. He told me that he could indeed get that done and he also offered to to let UPS/FEDEX drop them off at his shop. He said he use to do a lot of that but lately his suppliers have actually been beating the prices that people were buying them for online. Id give a local guy a shite first, might not be worth the hassle of you buying them online.

Or you could take the price of the tires you find on line to a local tire shop and ask them to price match. Most places will match the price and you keep the cash in your local community.

For shits and giggles I looked at tire rack and my local Sams club on the same tire. Tire Rack was $716.57 delivered without install, Sams was $790 install included.

people still believe in this??
I don't know that it truly saves gas, but that isn't why I do it. I do it for convenience, because I never have to worry about checking tire pressure.
I have my shop top it off the nitrogen off when I get my oil changed, and each tire will lose only about 1/2 lb of pressure between oil changes. Doesn't matter how hot or cold it is.

Most of the time the site you use to order tires will have an option for you to pick a place near you to do it. I had my tires delivered to a firestone near me. When they got them they called me and scheduled an installation. Very convenient.
They didn't resent you for not buying their tires?
I can see why bringing them to be installed wouldn't be a problem but having them sent there from a cheaper place, I could see them being pissy about it.

Not at all. I even paid for the mounting of the tires on the website at the same time I bought the tires. I guess the shops get some sort of kickback for agreeing to be a location to mount tires bought from the site. I paid $65 for 4 tires mounted at Firestone in Kenner/Metairie.

How much savings are we talking about here? $100 maybe be worth it, but I have a hard time believing you'd save more than $20-50 and honestly if it's like $25 I'll gladly just take it to a local place.

Chabill's was pretty pissy about it, but offered to do it for $50 a tire. I asked why so high, and he said that they didn't really want to do it.
Walmart didn't GAF.

I did tire rack for my new set a while back. Good deal and were installed by a place right up the street from me. Would buy that way again.

Thanks all - purchased from tire rack and had them shipped directly to installer ( had numerous installers to choose from) and I'll receive a text when they arrive.

NTB probably your best bet.
Many tires centers like Walmart will only install the exact tire specified by manufacturer.

My car has different specs for front vs rear. I was purchasing the same specs for rear that are located on inside of drivers door
