Never lost it. Graduated in 3.5 years and immediately started grad school, so I was able to use it for a semester of grad school as well. I had the TOPS that also gave me a stipend in addition to paying for my tuition. I also received numerous scholarship through undergrad and grad school. I never paid a dime. I took out a student loan in grad school just to invest it since it did not accrue interest while I was in school. I paid it back in full 6 months after graduating before any interest kicked in.

You lucky punks. There was no such thing as TOPS when I was in school.

I did not lose it, but it ran out after 4 years. A lady by the name of Sallie helped me with 5th year.

Never lost it, paid for school with TOPS, other scholarships, and a savings account my parents set up for me.

Compared to most options nowadays we do get a really good deal at LSU with TOPS. I paid like $800 a semester because of TOPS. It doesn't get much better than that.

I lost my extra money from TOPS but that was it.

TOPS, student loans. Majority of my loan money paid for my apartment and food.

Never lost it. Paid for school with TOPS and other scholarships. Basically I was paid to go to LSU, had extra money to pay for housing and the remainder was paid from money I had saved up from high school and jobs I worked in college.

Well, I lost it after freshman year. Could never get it back. Loans are the way to go
