Is it true they don't use drink menus? I feel for the owner If that actually isn't from their restaurant.

"We had absolutely no knowledge of, and would never condone, this image that is claimed to be our drink menu," he said in the email. "However, to be absolutely clear, we do not provide our customers with a drink menu." Simmons said the only exception is drink specials that are displayed on chalkboards. "The circled drink included in the picture is not something we have ever served to customers or advertised and would never be approved by ownership," Simmons said.

I suspect that photo or menu is completely fabricated. SJWs have proven time and time again that they do not care about facts and are more than willing to fabricate a story to push thier agenda (Ferguson, UVA Rolling Stones article anyone?) In thier childish minds the ends always justify the means and they have no fear of repercussion because they know no one will take them to task. If you question their story as suspicious then you are automatically a racist, no questions asked.

A local print-shop employee (who asked not to be named) told Flagpole he spotted the drink name when a General Beauregard’s employee brought in five sheets of drink-making instructions to be laminated. Angry about the offensive name, he said he snapped a photo and posted it on Facebook. He later deleted the photo, but not before it spread online.

General Beauregard’s has shut down its Facebook page and Twitter account, but not before critics dug up questionable images related to April Fool’s Day parties the bar has hosted in the past.
why did they shut down social media?

It's not a menu. There aren't any menus at these places.
Generals is a southerners wet dream. Confederate flags everywhere and all around racism. It's a decent place with hot bitches though and free peanuts

As long as they don't refuse to serve LSU fans I'm cool with that place.

They are the ones who chose to close down. Sure, the public's response would bring them hell and backlash. But they should have known that if, indeed, they new drink sheet to get laminated somewhere.

Because white folks eat just as much too! Now if it was called "Sunday Black Folk Special" then I'd give them the side eye.

Why? Those two things are delicious. If it wasn't listed as something like the African Special then I see no problem.

It's a shame that a few words have kept that race down for all these years. Words. God bless them in their struggle over these words and also flags.

shite, there's a corner store here in Nola on a very busy street NAMED chicken and watermelon. It's the actual name of the store, in big letters on the front.
As you can suspect, it's always packed.

There was a bar on Freret Street in the 1990s that had a drink called "Len Bias Dead (N-word)".
