I figured Mitch's press conference will feature a bunch of local pastors. Then, Mitch is going to roll out about half a dozen events that are now coming to NOLA because all the hate is gone. Some concerts and major conventions. Gotta put a bit of lipstick on this pig and the mere promise of dollars looks good in print.
Last, he is going to call on local business and civil leaders for ideas and money...lots of money...to replace the destruction and to raise money for the Lee Circle Fountain. To the highest bidder will go PC monument of their choice.
Media will play this off has a economic boom. City will get about half of the business promised. The cost of this drama fest will never really reveled. Mitch took a non issue and made it an issue.

It's not like upvotes and downvotes matter, but I have noticed my downvote stalker hasn't been hitting me up lately. Maybe he died

Mitch finally has one upped his fat pig of a sister for biggest sell out move after she voted yes for Obamacare. Congrats Mitch, you are the bigger whore.

I wonder if the world will still spin after a piece of cement disappears.

Interesting fact it took 22 years to raise funds and build the Beauregard Monument (1893-1915) and approximately 2000 people contributed the monument. The Beauregard Monument Association's Secretary A. B. Booth said at the dedication in 1915, the Beauregard Monument "is not to stand as an advocate of war, but to honor duty and true patriotism and worth, such as has distinguished Gen. G. T. Beauregard, whose memory we honor."

They cry about racism, but it's greatness that scares these people more than anything.

I will laugh when the trash of New Orleans keeps killing each other at a record rate even after these statues come down. Their lives truly don't matter.

So when I call OSHA and state that there's a potential for a life safety hazard, they won't issue violations because they're all city employees, right?

We need to start throwing pies in our politicians faces like they do in Europe.
Or just go old school and pull out the torches and pitch forks.

WWL reported that the street cars were detoured out of the circle and crews were already removing sections of the cables.
What's the detour line away from Lee Circle?

I guess they have to just stop, can't really detour them. When I walked by around 6PM the cable section from Howard to the other side of the gas station was gone.
No real action at the time except an old dude (my age) on a bike chanting "Mitch the Bitch, Mitch the Bitch....."
When does it come down?

Are we allowed to challenge someone to a duel? If so. I challenge the Mich Landreau mayor of New Orleans to a duel. Tomorrow at 11am.
I have a lunch date at noon

I don't think you need to call her a pig like that - be considerate of the other pigs and how that will make them feel.

Mitch is literally Hitler. Wouldn't surprise me if he tried to cheat the system to stay in office after all this

My wife and I have been watching NCIS New Orleans.. and the mayor in the show is portrayed as a corrupt politician who stops at nothing to get what he wants, even murder..
After the season finale this past Tuesday.. we looked at each other and said wow, amazing how close is this to the reality that is playing out in NOLA today..
