Crowds are getting bigger by the hour IMHO. There must be over 2000 people out there right now most of whom are Pro-monument.
In classic New Orleans fashion there's more bums and "alternative lifestyle" people here than anything else.

Again, I ask, are there cranes out on Lee circle? It's already midnight and it took the crew all night to remove gen B. It doesn't seem Lee is being removed tonight but I can't find a solid feed

They took down the street car lines that I know of. Probably happening tomorrow. As previously stated. This is a huge undertaking which they have no idea how they are going to do it. God bless the architect of lee for making that pedestal so high. This truly is a work of art.

The city will begin closing streets around Lee Circle at 4 a.m., and the removal will take place Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mayor Mitch Landrieu is set to make a special address on the removal of the monuments Friday at 3 p.m. at Gallier Hall.
