It's the interim. Three weeks off.

I'm surprised no news crews have followed the 18 wheeler to see where it goes after they get the statues down. Or any citizen. This would be extremely easy to do. Also, follow the crane after it is done to see what company it belongs to.

The actual thing happening is going to be the real entertainment. Do they have an experienced crane operator? Do they have guys who are experienced enough to communicate to him what he needs to do with the boom? Do they even have radios to communicate? I'm going with no to all those.

Around 7:15am I overheard a police radio alerting the cops to a man on top one of the buildings, and a dozen or so who were near me put their hands on their holsters and ran to the side of the GNO Foundation building. Of course they didn't bother to tell onlookers or media to do likewise. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned in the media, as they haven't had much to talk about.

I'm loving the image of Mitch and his entourage having to scramble to re-write his speech that's he's going to give in a couple of hours knowing this statue will be standing there, arms folded, with a big permanent F YOU look on his face.

We need a picture of the Lee's face as a "deal with it".

Only the pedestal for Davis, no one has seen the actual statue.
