I have a feeling the pressure will be put on this group to get this done, and done asap, and they will start to hurry the process up and someone will end up injured in the process.

I hope I'm wrong as I don't want to see anyone hurt over this fiasco, but at this rate I wouldn't be surprised given the mayor's determination to get this done at all costs.

Yea United (used to be RSC) has JLG lifts.. we've rented them before and they keep them at their location on hwy90

It's remarkable that the city was in such a hurry take these monuments down that it had nothing to simultaneously replace them with. There is no telling how long Lee Circle is going to look like a torn up construction site.

Also, since the Lee pedestal is remaining, there is technically still a confederate monument there, even if the plaques are off and the bronze is removed. When the city puts up a statue of Allen Toussaint or whatever, the new statute is going to be sitting on a confederate monument. Weird.
