I'm going to break into the warehouse overnight, take a piss on that statue and post it here on the OT. Not because I care about the statue issue, just to piss off you statue snowflakes.

No the statues are being removed because a bunch of hillbillies continued to use the Confederate symbols as a symbol of hate instead of treating them as part of US history...so unfortunately for those who have some emotional attachment to an inanimate object that they have little ties to, they are being punished for the actions of a small group...the actual war isn't what is actually offensive, it's those that used it as a symbol of racism that make it offensive.
Would you erect a statue of Hitler or Rommel in front of the JCC and justify it as celebrating the history of WWII?

Actually, they're being removed because Mitch saw it as a cheap and easy way to beef up his next political campaign.
