Ryan Clark had promise I once thought and as a great ambassador to LSU.

He is divisive and self-serving. I’ve never heard a person want to hear himself talk so badly before. It’s a shame because he seems educated and played beyond a normal shelf life in the NFL.

People change. He decided to take on a role that he’s not very familiar with. His stance here is not alarming at all, despite the absolute stupidity of this kid.

Oh and this just in. Rex Grossman just threw another touchdown over Clark’s head.

I will say Parkview has a history of students using the N-word. Go ask any Redemptorist FB player or any other athlete from a traditionally black school about the things said to them by Parkview students.

This is the dumbest fricking thing i've ever seen or heard in my life and is categorically untrue.

Furthermore, I'd be willing to be you they are more demographically diverse than any other major private school in Baton Rouge.

eta: and the fact that you named Redemptorist is comical. The one school that had the biggest rivalry and mutual respect with Parkview back before PBS politics shifted priorities away from real athletic competition and excellence.

I live for a day when we can stop talking about race and actually point to the problem we truly have and that is CLASS. We’ve had these words mixed up for three full decades.

Are you talking about socioeconomic classes and racism or... am I not understanding what you're saying?

Are we saying that we think that middle class and above are the most frequent of users of racial language. Particularly that word or variations of that word in different contexts including music, etc?

That's interesting.

If he doesn’t call out the millions of black kids calling each other that and black adults doing it to then he is a big hypocrite.

One of the most important lessons you can teach your kids these days is to not put everything they do or think on the goddamn internet.

I don’t know what I expected, but I literally gasped. It’s so sad because the racist ocean she swims in is so thick it didn’t even occur to her that it would reverberate to infinity. Now her family can’t hide. But we will #DefeatWhiteSupremacy where it sleeps

quote:

here's the thing the twitter mob doesn't get either. You've done nothing to battle and defeat racism. You've taught them that going forward they shouldn't be so public with their racism but that's about it.

I will never equate using a racist term on a social media once as absolute proof person is racist. Naive and maybe ignorant of what can happen when screen prints go viral, but I would first want to know more about anyone including pattern of speech, behavior, and actions much less a high schooler before labeling them a white supremacist like this piece of crap.

Being a high schooler i am not even sure if there were patterns of behavior and actions that i would automatically be willing to write her off if this has never been truly addressed with her in past. Shaming high school girl on social media for one post who was already expelled is a huge pussy move by a weak adult man trying to act strong and brave and get attention like a little emotional girl.

I bet Ryan is glad social media and cameras constantly filming everything didn’t exist when he was in high school and college like they do today. He wasn’t a saint, and neither were many of his teammates.

This whole thing reminds me of a situation that happened at U-High last year involving 12 year olds, a maga hat while in DC, and one parent posting the picture to social media and blasting these CHILDREN to her thousands of followers. FOR WEARING A MAGA HAT IN DC!!!!!!! The aftermath was tragic.

Yeah i feel bad for his daughter. Not because someone said a bad word, but for how embarrassing her dad acted about it.

Of course no telling how old she even is. He never actually said his daughter was in HS. It would be par for the course if his daughter is in the 3rd grade at PBS.

Just joking really about that, i'm sure she's in HS.

She's around 15-16. I believe she is a soph.

What will that help? So the adults acting like children can't actually go after children on twitter?

Being 41 isn't helping Ryan Clark not be abusive and idiotic on social media.
