Seeing the spotlights from New Generation all the way out in Central.

St. Alphonsus dances and me being terrified to dance. I'm still terrified to dance unless I'm loaded and I don't get loaded anymore so I avoid anything anywhere that could result in me being expected to dance.

Mikes Bar and Grill on Friday nights. $5 pitches of calls. Making $80 in a night waiting tables and going straight to Mikes and getting blackout drunk. Every.Single.Friday.

Sugars Strip club.

Birthday parties at McDonalds were such a fun event. Sitting in the big hamburger and looking like a kid in prison but being thrilled.

I wonder if Sam Haynes is still paying the kids at Blue Bayou $3.70/hour

I miss lots of things. LOL.

I miss riding my bike to the Bud's Broiler on City Park Ave and splitting a #1 with my brother.

I miss going out to my MawMaw's in Metry on the weekends and going to Morning Call by Lakeside. 3 Beignets was 90 cents then.

I miss the drive thru lights at City Park for christmas. (My brother and I would ride our bikes through them an hour before the cars could start going through)

I think that's all for now ...

A nice Saturday?

Saturday morning cartoons, followed by playing baseball outside for a few hours with a PB&J sandwich break around 12:30. Maybe get a slurpee at the 7-11. Ride bikes around the neighborhood until supper time. Get cleaned up and have a friend sleep over and watch tv until midnight.

Driving up and down Lakeshore drive looking for a place to park, then hanging out and enjoying libations while listening to WRNO.

My Dad and Uncle were both Tulane Grads, so I grew up going to Tulane games with them and my little cousin. After every game we would go to Morning Call, I’d get a order of Beignets and a chocolate milk. Unfortunately non of them are alive anymore, those were good times.

Tulane games

I never went to a Tulane game, or a Saints game for that matter.

My grandpa wanted to go to Tulane. He went to Redemporist and the sisters were able to get him a scholarship to Loyola but he didn't go. Then he was drafted.
