I use it all the time. Its not like you can do anything about it. It is what it is.

for some reason "playing catch up" drives me nuts. the metaphorical use of "playing" should be tied to more literal meanings of the term, like playing a game or playing a record or playing in the yard.
there is no game called catchup.
net-net. what's that? why not just keep netting if you're going to net twice. net-infinity.
it dovetails nicely into.... it's not that this one doesn't make sense, it just isn't very meaningful to me. this is a lesser annoyance, to be sure. i just think it sounds kind of stupid.
let me circle back with you. similar to dovetail.

while it is a pretty douchy philosophy or saying, it just means that if you act successful, you'll end up being successful. it implies this anyway.
lease an expensive car and wear a convincing knock-off armani, wheel-n-deal acting like you're a baller, you'll be surrounded by real ballers, exposing you to greater opportunity to become one of them.
lame, yes. but the saying makes sense.

Doesn't make sense.
diehard fans know the tiger never gets caught when baited.

"Cool beans." A puerile expression signifying acceptance, thanks or approval. It probably originated with grade schoolers, but is being adopted by an increasing number of feeble minded adults.
Much of this actually stems from the movie "Hot Rod" which popularized the phrase.

Interesting take, as if to suggest "dress for success." I have never taken it that way. I see as more of "never let them see you sweat" kind of mentality. Faking it to me means that you really don't know what you are doing but maybe by the time they figure that out it will be too late.

yeah, that too. i've heard it in both contexts. both are sort of crappy advice!

I'm pretty sure the actual saying is "couldn't care less" but idiots have ruined the idiom.

Why wouldn't you just say "same thing."
