Are there still collectors en masse?

I collected at the peak of oversaturation around 1990-1992. Still have everything in the attic.

Haven’t read the thread but look up Louisiana Card Con on FB
They have quarterly shows in Mandeville, not sure of table costs but it’s a nice show
Next one is 1st weekend in October

Tre Morgan will be there signing autographs

Yea I tried this about a decade ago. I was SHOCKED at the lowball offers. I ended up just keeping them for nostalgia.

This, buy a table at a weekend card show. You can start lowing the prices if needed the last day

I was kidding, of course. I’d entertain any offers.

Do not buy a table at a weekend show.

You don't know what you do or don't have. Get with someone you trust. Grade the money cards then list them on ebay. You will pay a decent amount in fees which is worth it to get the most amount of eyeballs on them.

I'm a random person but don't mind helping you if needed.

Forget selling the "collection" everyone wants the "good" cards......so just sell all the high dollar cards on eBay and when you have more time sort through the rest of the collection and make a decision

Would you post a few pictures of the better cards from the 1950s?

That would give us an idea of the quality you own and what route would be to your advantage.

I'm going to ask a spin off question here. I've got about 20-30 cards from my childhood that aren't really worth anything. Has anyone ever gotten like a framed display or something made out of something like that?

Yes, plenty of options for that. It might help to look at pokemon displays

Just got back into it, it’s still a big thing especially with online breaks
Can get addictive

Topps just released the 2025 Bob Ross collection
Can’t find them except on eBay, 10 card box going for 300.00

I was into sports cards collecting for many years. Your only true option is to sell your top top cards individually. The rest are virtually pennies on the dollar. Give the common cards to kids to play with. As another poster said hand them down to a family member.

3 Yount rookies, 2 Mantles, and the Payton rookies are worth grading.

Pics were clear in the preview. Not sure why they’re fuzzy now.
