Rome should the Causeway close, what do people do that need to get home to say kids or whatever? I don't live anywhere near there ... do they just stay on which ever side they're stuck on?

It's about to go down.
Hold on to your butts.

These cells are probably going to "wobble" a little bit in terms of motion. Surface winds pulling from the SE and shift more due south as you go up the column. This might track everything just a little farther west than what the radar would suggest.

It seems that New Orleans won't get it that bad.

That storm about to come onshore south of Houma will no doubt have hail and a warning

Those storms over lake interesting. Moving into Mandeville now.
I'd definitely be watching those cells passing over Franklin now if I were in the Baton Rouge area.

In that case you ought to do the safe thing and just hunker down at work till the whole storm passes over, you would be safer than being on the roads, and think of how productive you could be?

It's not a tornado until it touches down I believe

looks like im right in the path of this storm coming across the lake... just me and my 5 month old, we'll keep an eye out
was just thinking about where we would go in a tornado, we dont have any internal rooms.. weird, not even a closet

I just saw my in-laws house in the stream of the storm chaser driving west on highway 22.
