I am in Hackberry doing a project and there were 3 big cells out in the Gulf moving the same direction as the earlier storms that hit the BR area pretty hard

That had to be the one that was trying to form over house. I called meatloaf and told her what I saw and not minutes later she called back saying customers were reporting damage. I could only imagine being at a redlight watching it actually come down.

I know we've only had one reported area of damage so far, but is this the most activity in such a short period of time that you can ever remember like this in the state?

if a tornado comes always make sure all doors are closed. Good thing LSU is already preparing to have its doors closed

Good thing they closed the causeway.

as of right now:

- It looks like like a strong line of cells over Rayne, Louisiana moving East-North East into Carencro. That will eventually impact New Roads and St. Francisville north of Baton Rouge. It appears to be getting stronger too. If you live in that area, you want to watch that one.

- A Strong cell is over Donaldsonville now that will eventually cross into eastern Ascension Parish. No tornado warning for that but watch it carefully.

- A cell with a likely Tornado is just NW of Livingston (the town) and is heading NE towards Montpelier, Amite City, and Kentwood. Time to take cover now.

Light rain as I was coasting up to the light, turned into dump trucks full, that shifted, and then saw a bunch of debris (Gold's Gym, it sounds like) blowing towards my car and then circling back on itself right on top of 61. I took a right across three lanes of traffic and booked it the frick out of there.
