So far, it’s not really bad. Gusty wind and lightning. No rain. But with any kind of wind, my shitty DEMCO powered street loses power immediately. I mean, like when the first real gust hit, powers out. Across the street? No problem.

I do notice it just starting getting darker.

Lightning was close enough to wake me up and the dog jumping on the bed after finished the job. Guess I’m up for good now.

We’ve had DEMCO for three and a half years and have lost power twice - once during a really hot afternoon a week after moving here and then for five days during the flood. I had Entergy for five years before and lost power for every thunderstorm. We’re very satisfied with DEMCO.

Loud AF thunder with lightning that seems super close in the Bocage area of BR. Raining hard but if this is all that happens for the next half hour all is good

When the first line of the storm hits, it's impressive.

Opaque sheet of wind driven rain going sideways. So heavy you can barely discern the sheets of rain embedded in it.

Any lightning illuminates the sheet of rain making it almost a blinding flash.

This lasts about 5 minutes.

Main line has now passed through the SEBR Parish area. Light rain. A little wind. Sky much lighter.

Yeah. I’m near mid city Baton Rouge and it was bad right at first but right now just semi-heavy rain. Hope it stays like this.

I’ve heard DEMCO is great. I just live on a shitty grid. I’ve lived here a little Over a year. Lost power at least 5 times. Lost it in the summer with no rain or wind. Just hot, lol.

Does your house need to get leveled for these things to not qualify as nothing burger?

Because there aren’t any warnings around the local BR area.

No man. I’m serious. It was minimal. I checked the gauge outside. .5 inch. It’s like it must have missed me somehow. I’m glad. The wind was strong for five minutes. Then 5 of lightning. Small line of moderate rain. Over in less than 20

Came here to see the white chair lying on the ground. Surprised some got it worse.
