Do we really need one of these for every thunderstorm that comes through? I understand the one last week but this?

This isn’t even worthy of a thread. Will be nothing more than a rain shower with a breeze and some thunder

Some people are still trying to put their lives back together after the last severe weather event.

Personally, I’ve yet to bring certain things back out on the back deck from the garage. I know others who haven’t even gotten all the leaves and debris out of their gutters.

This thing Thursday could push the timeline back on everyone’s plans to begin their recovery.

Ed,

I was just kidding the other day when I was joking around with you. You are a nice guy. I saw what you said to the guy getting divorced.

If we don’t make it through this thing Thursday, please accept my apology.

Love,

Doesn't hurt anything to have it.

Upper trough moving in. Like the positive tilt.

Nothing of note at the low levels.

A little veer there in the winds and the instability is there. Reason enough for a slight risk.

Looking at the 250 mb area, I'm leaning toward the south shore being at more of a risk where that jet has a little more speed and is doing a little diverging.

Southshore average sounding. You can see potential for an isolated tornado risk with the instability, shear, and hodograph shape. There's also no cap, suggesting a storm cluster is more likely.

So yeah, it's worth knowing it's a possibility. Just nothing here to scream outbreak. Could get some stout gusts out of the storms. Wouldn't be changing plans for it though.

We've gotten a ton of rain since 6 or so. The biggest stuff is moving through now.

In Plano. Mother nature's about to go in dry on us. Figuratively speaking.

TWSS

Kept half an eye on it all night. Wouldn't be surprising at all to see that sort of rain. PWat pushing 1.5" in DFW. Healthy fetch of moisture coming in off the gulf. It'll be able to sustain its self for a couple of hours.

WPC on it:
